Daniel Radcliffe Raps Like A BOSS With Blackalicious’ ‘Alphabet Aerobics’

Daniel Radcliffe proved he’s a real wizard on the mic (pun unavoidably intended) when he stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday.

Radcliffe was there to talk about his new movie Horns and revealed that he loves rap music and enjoys memorizing the difficult lyrics – admitting that he has an “obsession” with memorizing complicated and lyrically intricate fast songs.

“Initially I got into Eminem and was obsessed with learning all the words to ‘Real Slim Shady,'” Radcliffe explained. “There’s also a guy called Plan B in England. I’ve always had an obsession with memorizing complicated lyrically, intricate and fast song… It’s a disease.”

Seeing this as an opportunity to test the Harry Potter star’s skills, Fallon asked, “Like Blackalicious’ “Alphabet Aerobics?””

“That would be one,” Radcliffe replied somewhat apprehensively.

“You know how to do the whole song?” Gaped Fallon. “That’s one of the trickiest, fastest songs I know.”

Stripping off his jacket and dropping his British accent – the boy who lived then became the man who rapped as Radcliffe displayed amazing prowess while proceeding to rap the entire tongue-twisting, very fast 1999 hit song, “Alphabet Aerobics” by Blackalicious.

Fallon has always been great at having celebrities show a “less known” side of themselves by participating in crazy skits, inane games, lip-sync battles and such, with some talents being more unexpected than others.

All in all, Radcliffe is one of the most impressive performances thus far because “Alphabet Aerobics” is by no means an easy rap to spit. It’s a song that employs working your tongue around vowels and consonances while meandering your way through all 26 letters of the alphabet.

So… Daniel Radcliffe: child star extraordinaire, theater actor, and now, potential rap artist? Watch the video and decide.
