Kristin Cavallari Opens Up About The Difficulties Of Having A Second Child

Kristin Cavallari is learning that with kids, it doesn’t necessarily get any easier the second time around.

In fact, the star of The Hills said that things are quite a bit harder with her second child, a five-month-old son named Jaxon.

“They always say the second one is harder and that’s very true,” she recently told the Daily Mail. “Jax is a little bit more difficult. But he is still the sweetest and the best. So it’s fine.”

Cavallari shared that Jaxon is suffering from colic, a serious but fairly common ailment among infants that can result in hours of crying and sleepless nights.

“I was very colicy as a baby, so I guess Jax is a lot like me,” Cavallari said of her son.

Kristin Cavallari has been very open about her thoughts on health and motherhood, saying that she tries to stay in the best shape she can.

“I don’t eat any toxic chemicals, so I never count calories, but I’m always reading labels,” she recently shared. “I try to eat organic as often as possible. We do a ton of grass-fed beef and real butter. If I’m going to eat something I want it to be real food — no fake, processed chemical crap. And I try to make sure I get in at least a few vegetables everyday.”

Kristin — who also has a 2-year-old boy, Camden — said being a mother is the most important thing in her life.

“You just have so much more love in your life,” she said. “Motherhood really makes you realize what’s important in life and puts everything into perspective. It’s the hardest but most rewarding job.”

Conflicting schedules could make it even harder for Kristin Cavallari and husband and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who is gone more often than not in the fall.
