Looking For (Or Want To Be) A Sugar Daddy? Here’s Where You Need To Go

If the Sugar Daddy lifestyle is for you, a popular website that pairs up Sugar Daddies (and Sugar Mommas) with Sugar Babies has released a ranking of the Top 30 [North American] Cities For Sugar Daddies, Biz Journals is reporting.

SeekingArrangement.com surveyed the site’s users to find the cities with the highest ratio of Sugar Daddies to 1,000 males. Topping the list this year is Atlanta, with Vancouver, Orlando, San Francisco and Las Vegas rounding out the top five.

For those who aren’t clear on what a Sugar Daddy is, Urban Dictionary defines a Sugar Daddy as “a man who provides money or other favors in exchange for sexual relations.” For SeekingArrangement.com, the Sugar lifestyle is perfect for people who know what they want out of a relationship, and are willing to be up-front about it.

“At SeekingArrangement, users are on the same page. Forget reading in between the lines, our members know what they want. Users approach one another without worrying about false pretenses.”

The stereotypical image of the Sugar Daddy is that of a an old geezer doling out the cash to a young floozy. But SeekingArrangement founder Brandon Wade rejects that notion, according to WBTV (Charlotte).

“Most people equate a Sugar Daddy with someone like Hugh Hefner, but this is not the case. Sugar Daddies are young, successful men who do not have time to traditionally date. This year, the number of single men joining our website doubled, and the number of married Daddies decreased.”

But for naysayers, the Sugar Lifestyle is tantamount to prostitution and websites such as SeekingArrangment are essentially high-class pimps of the Digital Age. According to this Inquisitr report, New Jersey attorney Alex Miller said that Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies are breaking the law.

“If you look at the language of various state statutes, the terms of many of the relationships fall under the definition of prostitution.”

But a Charlotte woman, who asked to be identified only as “Michelle,” told WBTV that she doesn’t see it that way. Her Sugar Daddy is a successful Charlotte (#18 on the list) business owner who bought a house for her and her two kids, pays her bills, and gives her $5,000 in cash every month.

“Prostitution is when you meet someone and you guys have sex soon after you meet him and you leave with cash in your hand. With me and my gentleman friend, it was never like that.”
