Kenya Moore Calls Out Porsha Williams For Riding Her Coattails, She Responds

Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams’ feud isn’t going away anytime soon. Just days before the premiere of the seventh season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, word has hit the web claiming the two are currently involved in a public debate.

It all started when Moore did an interview with Enstarz, slamming her co-star for riding her coattails in previous seasons. Moore made the comment after being asked if she had anything to say about the news of Williams’ demotion, which was reported by the Inquisitr on October 1.

“Um, honestly I don’t have any thoughts about it,” Moore said, at first. Then, she casually added, “It’s just that I’ve made people relevant on this show for negative occurrences and I’m just not doing that anymore. I think people need to stand on their own two feet and not ride my coattails, and you see when they don’t ride my coattails, they don’t get very far.”

In response to Kenya Moore’s comments to Enstarz, Williams took a stance on her Dish Nation show. “She can’t be talking about me,” Wiliams said, via an October 27 report by Reality Tea. “I mean you have to be doing something to be riding your coattails, right? You gotta be on the way to progression — being successful for something to ride your coattails. That’s what I thought.”

One week after Williams’ demotion was announced, as reported by The Inquisitr, Andy Cohen spoke out, explaining why he chose to reduce her role from full-time to part time.

“It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season,” Cohen explained, according to an October 11 report by the New Pittsburgh Courier. “Really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season. We went into it assuming she would be a full housewife, holding a peach. We just haven’t gotten enough to merit that. She’s going to be in it a lot. We love her. I hope she’ll be on Bravo endlessly.”

Also during her interview with Enstarz, Kenya Moore discussed the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“I am very excited,” she said. “This season is going to be a great season for me. It’s the season of redemption; a lot of things will come to light that I feel will be redemptive for me. I’m just excited for people to not question the lies that were told by many people on the show, and now we’ll all get to see what the real truth is.”

Kenya Moore and the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta return to Bravo on November 9.
