Lindsey Vonn & Tiger Woods: Is There Trouble Ahead For The Sports Power Couple?

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods have been the model of a supportive couple, but recent reports suggest there could be some difficulties in the future for the sports super duo.

The couple has been officially dating since March 2013, and during their more than 18 months together, they appear to be on quite solid footing. Tiger has supported Lindsey through a difficult injury and rehab, and she has played the role of supportive girlfriend as well, cheering Tiger on during golf tournaments.

But there could be trouble looming, and it has to do with Tiger’s ex, Elin Nordegren. The model and mother to two of Tiger’s kids recently split from her boyfriend, billionaire Chris Cline, leading to speculation that Tiger may leave Lindsey Vonn and try to re-kindle the romance with his ex.

Though nothing appeared to come of those reports, a new development this week put a twist in the story. Elin Nordegren recently built a $12.2 million estate in Palm Beach and decided to include a golf course on the premises.

There were mixed interpretations of the gesture. Nordegren is not known as a golfer herself, so many thought it was built as a dig to her ex husband and a way to flaunt the reported $100 million she took in the divorce. But others suggest that it could mean Elin and Tiger are slowly patching things up and could be headed for a reunion.

Lindsey Vonn and Elin Nordegren have actually grown quite close. Despite their nasty divorce, Tiger and his ex wife have maintained an amicable relationship for the sake of their kids and often go to family events together. As his relationship with Vonn grew, Tiger began inviting his girlfriend along to these outings, and eventually she and Elin became friends.

Tiger and Lindsey Vonn even went on some double dates with Elin and her boyfriend while they were still together.
