Kate Gosselin Still Jobless, Using Coupons
It looks like TV mom Kate Gosselin is still within the ranks of the jobless, and the mom of eight is keeping a close eye on her family’s coffers.
Gosselin, 36, was on top of the reality TV world just a few short months ago. Her reign was long, with her brood of eight, and hubby Jon in tow, ruling the world of unscripted dramas from the time her sextuplets were infants. And Americans watched the eight kids in total (the larger set and twins Mady and Cara) grow into school aged children on TLC’s hit Jon and Kate Plus 8.
But Jon and Kate separated a few years into the show, with Jon moving out and publicly dating a series of questionable women before the show became Kate Plus 8. America just wasn’t as interested in the story of a single mom raising a large brood of kids, and this summer, the remaining Gosselins got their pink slips, thrusting Kate into the 10%-ish of Americans who don’t have a job.
Us Weekly noted that the mom of eight is now using coupons, something most celebrities avoid due to copious comps. The mag quotes the former Mrs. Gosselin as saying:
”No matter how much money you have, it’s just smart to use coupons. It’s like free money in your pocket. One week, I remember saving more than half my grocery bill that week with coupons. I was beyond thrilled.”
And Kate will also be blogging her cash-saving experiences for the blog CouponCabin.com- back in October, she tweeted:
“I’ve never shopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond WITHOUT coupons! I’ve returned with my receipt and a coupon many times, even when ‘not broke.’”

Gee, isn't it too bad that she might have to go back to the job she was trained to do….nursing. Or is she too good now to take care of other people? Welcome to the real world Kate. With all the money you've made, you should have a hefty bank account so quit playing the "poor me" card. I feel sorry for your kids to have to live with such a whiner. Big deal….you use coupons….try living like the rest of America does….paycheck to paycheck IF we have one!

I don't care too much for Kate Gosselin, but if she uses coupons, good for her. She has 8 kids, please don't refer to her as "jobless".

Don't feel sorry for Kate at all, coupons? she would used them even if she didn't need to because like she said, "It's like getting feel money." Money is all she cares about besides herself. I stopped watching the show after Jon left. Felt sorry for this guy I would have done what he did too if I was berated for every little thing I did especially in front of the cameras. Kate treated this grown man who did everything for her and the kids like a child. Now she wants pity oh please. She whined and whined and needed all this help with the kids while Jon was at work. She goes for days on a book tour and feels that Jon doesn't need that much help. She is so self absorbed that it makes me sick. Glad she is off the show, feel sorry for the children.

I was looking forward to her TWIST OF KATE show that was supposed to be coming. I know she can be hard but I know alot of people who are worse and can't blame it on celebrity.

Doesn't the country have anything better to do than give a mom who's had eight kids, TV time? I know a family that has 11 kids and the two parents which makes thirteen. (The kids weren't born all at once.) I don't see them on a TV show. Boo hoo, she has to go back to work and use coupons. You save money by using coupons. Most of the money went to the kids I'm sure, cause having that many is a lot of money to spend. Apparently, she wasn't smart with her money, since it seems she has none. Grow up kate, act like an adult, and quit wining.
