Britney Spears Gets Her Own Holiday

It’s official – in Las Vegas, November 5 is Britney Spears Day.

On Thursday, Caesar Entertainment announced that the singer of “Perfume” will have November 5 dedicated just to her. Spears will also be receiving the key to the Las Vegas Strip, reports Eonline.com.

Steve Sisolak, Clark County’s Commission Chairman, will present the official proclamation and key to the strip to Spears.

“What an honor!!Can’t wait to celebrate with you Vegas. See y’all there??” Spears recently tweeted.

Spears’ “Piece of Me” residency has been a success since it started in December 2013. In fact, she was recently given a raise. It is now estimated the pop star will make a whopping $1 million a week.

Britney Day will be held on November 5, and the event will take place at the LINQ Promenade. The event kicks off at 5:30.

Caesar has announced that beginning at 8 a.m. on November 5 the first 100 people that can prove their name is also Britney will get two tickets to Spears’ “Piece of Me” show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The prize also includes a ride on the High Roller Observation Wheel.

It has also been reported that Jennifer Lopez will soon be performing at Planet Hollywood, Yahoo News reports. The deal is not sealed, but rumors have it that if they come to a final agreement Lopez, 45, will make $26 million doing 72 shows over a 2-year-period. If the deal is finalized, Lopez will make more per show than Spears.

A spokesperson from Caesar, however, says no offers have been made to Lopez.

The Daily Mail recently reported that Spears is seriously considering extending her Las Vegas residency for $12 million. Spears’ “Piece of Me” has brought $20 million to Planet Hollywood’s wallet. If Spears extends her stay, the deal would keep her on the Vegas Strip until 2017.

Spear’s show is an enormous hit. Recently Britney Spears showed her appreciation to the hard working dancers who help make her show a success. Spears took her dancers out for an Italian dinner at Las Vegas’ Buca di Beppo in Las Vegas.

Spears even served the dinner herself. She served the dancers plates full of spaghetti in tomato sauce, fettuccine Alfredo, pizza, seafood, Caesar salad, and more.

It appears that Spears may have her head on straight and her career back on track. The new album, which she is still working on, is said to be packed full of jams that her fans can “sink their teeth into.”
