Ed Sheeran Dishes On Miley Cyrus And Niall Horan, Ellie Goulding Affair

Ed Sheeran has been busy this week. On Wednesday, Sheeran took home the Best Solo Artist award from the Q Awards. While promoting his latest album release, Sheeran came out about several topics, and he has even apologized for some of his recent comments. The Irish Independent shared Ed’s recent apology to Miley Cyrus.

Why did Ed Sheeran feel the need to apologize to Cyrus? At an interview held at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, Sheeran made a comment that Miley danced like a stripper. The British singer now admits he had a few drinks, and he worded his comments incorrectly. He has now apologized publicly, and he thinks that Miley Cyrus is quite talented.

Sheeran spoke out about his comments in an interview with The Sun.

“I was a bit of a ****. I do feel bad about it as I’d be f**king livid if someone said that about me. My general point was I wanted her to sing the songs so people could see what an amazing artist she is. I just worded it wrong.”

His earlier comments focused on Miley’s twerking in her music video. He called it a “stripper move.” He also thought that the video for “Wrecking Ball” distracted from the great song that it is.

Ed Sheeran has made more comments this week as well. He opened up about the meaning of one of his song. Sheeran released “Don’t” in April, and fans have speculated that it is about the affair his rumored ex-girlfriend, Ellie Goulding, had with Niall Horan from One Direction.

He spoke about the meaning of the song. According to the Irish Independent, Sheeran admitted that he used the writing of the tune as a form of release.

“I got over the anger the moment I wrote the song. It’s a song that came at the time that I needed to write. That’s the end of it. I’m grateful I could get a song out of it, to be honest. I don’t feel it’s about anyone anymore, I’m not attached to that. The moment you attach to someone to a song it becomes more difficult to sing every night.”

Sheeran did not mention Goulding or Horan by name, but he did admit to dating Goulding in previous interviews.

These comments are not the only comments made by Sheeran that have stirred up things for the singer. The Inquisitr recently reported that Ed had to clarify comments he made about being homeless.

Right now, Sheeran’s focus is on his music. Hollywood Life shared a behind the scenes look for his latest music video. “Thinking Out Loud” shows off Ed’s dancing skills.

The original plan for the video was to have another couple dance together, but Sheeran decided to perform the dance himself. He admitted that he was frustrated at first, but he loved to dance by the end of the video shoot.
