Bethenny Frankel’s Husband Doesn’t Want Bryn On ‘RHONY’

Bethenny Frankel’s estranged husband, Jason Hoppy, is heading to court in an effort to make sure their daughter, Bryn Casey Hoppy, does not appear on the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

Last week, Frankel officially announced her return to the Bravo reality series after a three-season hiatus. Days later, Frankel’s ex is planning to file a motion that would keep their daughter away from the cameras.

“Jason isn’t thrilled with it because he knows [Bethenny Frankel] is going to get in numerous jabs about the divorce,” a source revealed to Radar Online on October 23.

Although Hoppy can’t control anything that comes out of Frankel’s mouth while the cameras are rolling, he does get a say in his daughter’s life. According to the source, Hoppy feels Bryn will benefit from being kept off the show. “It’s just not healthy for Bryn to be on TV at a time when her parents are getting divorced,” explained the source. “Bethenny signed up for the show, their daughter didn’t.”

Unfortunately for Hoppy, he and Bethenny Frankel appeared for years on a reality show together — with Bryn. Following her stint on The Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel received her own spinoff series, Bethenny Getting Married?, which was later named Bethenny Ever After. On the show, fans got an inside look at Frankel and Hoppy’s personal and professional lives. They also saw plenty of the couple’s young daughter, which will likely work against Hoppy as he tries to have her banned from appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City.

“Jason had no problem with Bryn being on Bethenny’s Bravo spin-off show when they were happily married,” the source explained to Radar. ” Bethenny wouldn’t have Bryn be with her during every single shoot for Real Housewives of New York, but she is adamant that the judge allow her to be on the show.”

As The Inquisitr reported, rumors of Bethenny Frankel’s return to The Real Housewives of New York City began earlier this month. Then, on October 20, Frankel confirmed she would be back for season seven.

“I’m genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to the Real Housewives of New York City,” Frankel said a statement, according to The Inquisitr. “Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us.”

Bethenny Frankel and the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo for season five in 2015.
