Leah Remini Shines On ‘DWTS,’ Will She Be Back?

Fans watched Leah Remini shine during her guest hosting gig this week on Dancing With the Stars. She stepped in for regular host Erin Andrews and Pitbull stepped in for judge Len Goodman. Though Leah had some rocky moments during her DWTS season competing with Tony Dovolani, tackling the hosting gig seemed to work out well. This leaves many wondering if she might end up returning at some point.

Andrews is taking a bit of a break to cover the World Series on Fox, but by the looks of the schedule, she won’t likely have to miss any further DWTS shows specifically for games. Andrews has had a bit of a rocky time winning over fans since she took over for Brooke Burke-Charvet, though the show has stood behind her and it does seem she’s been able to hit her stride this season. Remini definitely brought in a different style and the feedback from fans was quite positive.

After the show Leah thanked fans for their support, but the accolades continued. Wednesday Remini tweeted that she was “Truly so flattered” by the continuing support and she was “touched by the love.” The former Dancing With the Stars contestant’s self-deprecating style and sarcastic sense of humor worked well in the guest host setting and everybody said that Leah Remini shined in the role.

According to E! Online, Andrews will be back for the October 27 show, as will Len Goodman. In addition, pro Karina Smirnoff will return as well. Smirnoff had taken a tumble during rehearsals a couple of weeks ago and she was sidelined until now. Though Karina was already eliminated from the competition this season, having been partnered with Randy Couture, she has still been dancing in group numbers.

Week 7 of DWTS airs on Monday and this is the week where the infamous team dances come in to play. The pressure is on, as there is a long history of eliminations coming from the losing group’s team and Derek Hough has a stellar winning record. According to PureDWTS and their Dancing With the Stars spoilers, viewers will watch “Team ItsyBitsey” dance to Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” while “Team Creep Du Soleil” will dance to the Rocky Horror Picture Show song “Time Warp.”

Team ItsyBitsey will feature Bethany Mota, Janel Parrish, Lea Thompson and Michael Waltrip. Team Creep Du Soleil has Alfonso Ribeiro, Sadie Robertson, Tommy Chong and Antonio Sabato Jr. Some would say they think given the team splits, Antonio may well be in trouble, but DWTS fans will have to tune in to see what happens.

As for the hosting gig, it seems it’s Erin Andrews’ spot to keep, but viewers definitely enjoyed the change-up this past week. Given how Leah Remini shined in the gig, could the show find ways to bring her back regularly going forward? Many Dancing With the Stars fans hope so.
