Snoop Dog and Iggy Azalea seemed set for a social media war just one week ago. The war has ended before it really got started, thanks to T.I. Apparently, when T.I. speaks, folks listen.
The issues between Snoop Dog and Azalea began on Instagram. Snoop Dog posted a ‘unflattering’ photo of Azalea after she expressed her disappointment in a recent expletive rant Snoop Dog had gone on, reports The Daily Mail.
While doing a recent radio station interview, T.I. spoke about his peace keeper role, reports Radio.com.
“It was basically like, ‘I’m in the crossfire big dog. What’s going on?’ You know what I mean. I can’t dodge anymore. It didn’t get into an elaboration…When I called him and asked him what’s happening, he said, ‘I know what you’re calling for…and guess what? It’s over.'”
T.I. also told the radio station that he believes Snoop Dog’s posting of the ‘unflattering photo’ was simply a joke that went too far. T.I. says his relationship with Snoop Dog is good, and he has the utmost respect for the performer.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, is a close friend and mentor of Azalea’s. T.I. told MTV, when he was asked about his conversation with Snoop Dog, that he didn’t make Snoop Dog do anything. He added that Snoop Dog apologized out of the “kindness of his heart.”
T.I. said he only reached out to Snoop Dog when the situation became a public topic being discussed across the globe.
The now defunct war began when Snoop Dog posted a Instagram photo of a long haired, blonde male, with a script that said, “Iggy Azalea no makeup.”
After seeing the post, Azalea turned to Twitter to voice her displeasure.
“Why would you post such a mean pic on insta when you send your body guards to ask me for pictures every time we are at shows? ‘I’m disappointed you’d be such an a** for no reason,” Azalea tweeted.
Things quickly escalated as Snoop Dog turned again to Instagram with a video lashing out at Azalea with several harsh names.
The feud ended when Snoop Dog posted an apology on Instagram.
“Alright boys and girls I just got off the phone with my homeboy TI, the King of Atlanta, and it’s officially over,” Snoop Dog posted.
“I accept the apology Snoop Dogg,” Azalea respectfully replied on Twitter.
