Melissa Gorga On ‘RHONJ’: ‘I’m Not Complaining But I Wish I Could Turn It On And Off’

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga didn’t say much after her sister-in-law was sentenced to 15 months behind bars, which she is scheduled to start serving after Christmas. Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, were probably asked to not speak about Teresa Giudice’s legal problems as a way for them to respect everything that was going on. And this season, Melissa’s story line on the show was not as interesting, because the focus quickly fell on Teresa and the new housewives.

Melissa Gorga is now revealing that it has been an emotional ride for the family on this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, because of Teresa’s legal problems. And even though Melissa and her husband managed to stay out of most of the drama, Melissa is now revealing that sometimes, she wishes that she could just turn off the spotlight for a moment.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is now revealing that she wishes she could turn it off, especially when it comes to her sister-in-law’s sentencing. The media was covering the sentencing heavily, and it is possible that the media was also hunting down the Gorgas and the Wakiles in hopes of getting a comment or reaction.

“We’ve been through so much together throughout the years. It’s not always easy being on reality TV. I’m not complaining, because obviously I signed up for it, but there are times I wish I could turn it on and off. Unfortunately I don’t have that option, so here we are,” Melissa Gorga reveals, adding, “This final episode was very emotional for me and hard to watch.”

Of course, the final episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey included the painful sentencing of Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe. The two were both sentenced to jail time and all of their cast members were listening and reacting while being filmed. At the time, Melissa simply asked everyone to pray for the family, according to the Inquisitr.

“Even though there were many positive moments this episode, there was just such a sadness around it all. As you saw, I made the decision not to share our reaction to the outcome of the sentencing. It was an extremely hard day for this family, and I believe issues this serious are meant to be private. I know I’ve asked you before, but continue to pray for their family,” Melissa Gorga added.

Melissa Gorga and her husband have been dealing with issues of their own that have not been on the show. Recently, their nightmare tenant moved out of their rental home after a lengthy legal battle over who was right in the matter.
