‘Jon And Kate Plus 8’ Editor Arrested For Child Pornography


William Blankinship, 56, a former editor for the TLC reality TV show Jon and Kate Plus 8 has been arrested on child pornography charges in North Carolina.

Blankinkship was arrested on October 21 as part of a State Bureau Investigation that rounded up more than 24 men. William at the time of his arrest was charged with 10 counts of sex exploit of a minor (photos/videos of a minor engaged in sexual activity).

In a scary realization Mr. Blankinship was also involved in other reality TV shows that use children including Kate Plus 8, 17 Kids and Counting and Table for 12.

Figure 8 Films, the company that employed the child pornographer released the following statement about his arrest:

Bill Blankinship was employed by Serious Robots, with whom Figure 8 Films subcontract for editing services. Upon learning of the shocking allegations his employment was terminated. At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions.

Speaking with RadarOnline a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said:

“Usually when that happens, they’re under the authority of the U.S. Marshals until they are sentenced and convicted, and then they’d be sent to a Federal prison.”

No bond has been set.
