Joseph Randle: Cowboys Running Back Arrested For Theft Now Endorsing Underwear Brand He Stole

Joseph Randle is getting a big chance at redemption after getting caught stealing underwear.

The Dallas Cowboys running back was arrested for shoplifting last week and fined $29,500 by the team. But now MeUndies, the brand of underwear he was caught stealing, has stepped up with an endorsement offer that will allow Randall to pay off his fine while pitching the brand he stole.

Randle was caught at a Dillard’s in Frisco, Texas, after also allegedly trying to steal cologne. He was charged with a misdemeanor Class B theft of $50 to $500, and released on bond early Tuesday morning.

A fifth round pick in 2013, Randle is making a base salary of $495,000, making his arrest that much more perplexing. He has played limited time for the Cowboys this year, but has made the most of his limited touches, rushing for 113 yards on just 16 carries.

As part of his endorsement deal with MeUndies, Randle will be donating close to $15,000 of underwear and basic apparel to children in need.

“Joseph felt the need to turn a negative situation into a positive and teamed up with MeUndies to give back to his community and help families in need,” said Dan King, MeUndies head of marketing and business development.

He continued, “As a young company, MeUndies is faced with difficult challenges all the time. It’s up to us to turn a negative situation into a positive one, almost on a daily basis. How you learn from your mistakes fast is how you find success in our business and those lessons are applicable in all walks of life.”

Kind said he met with Randle’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, throughout the week to find out how to turn the arrest into a positive both for Randle and the Dallas community.

Joseph Randle himself has taken full responsibility for his arrest, saying he let down his teammates, coaches, and family.
