‘The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXV’ Teaser And Spoilers [Video]

The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXV airs tonight on FOX, and fans of TV’s oldest TV family are in for quite the treat (as well as plenty of tricks) as Homer & Co. celebrate Halloween with three new tales of terror.

For Treehouse of Horror XXV, The Simpsons will use a blast from the past to celebrate a quarter of a century of scaring up spooky stories. According to Yahoo! TV, this year the yellow family will be haunted by themselves in a parody of the The Others horror movie. The Simpsons will come face-to-face with the earlier, badly-drawn versions of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie from The Tracy Ullman Show.

Executive producer Al Jean revealed that old Simpsons won’t just be drawn differently — they’ll also have their old voices. As The Inquisitr previously reported, the original Simpsons are going to be out for blood after being murdered and buried underneath the house at 742 Evergreen Terrace. However, because this Treehouse of Horror XXV segment is a parody of The Others, it’s very possible that the modern-day Simpsons will discover that they’re actually the dead people haunting the original family’s house.

According to the New York Daily News, the original Marge will hit on modern-day Homer, and original Bart will resurrect some of his old famous catchphrases.

Jean promised that fans of The Simpsons will get to see an especially good Treehouse of Horror special this year.

“And this Halloween show, we’re really excited about. It’s getting really great reviews. Honestly, with every Halloween show, there’s one in the three you’re not as happy with. I think all three are great this year.”

According to Spoiler TV, Lisa and Bart will go to “Hell school” in another Treehouse of Horror segment. The siblings will be transported to this demonic learning institution after “Bart reads a set of Aramaic symbols he finds on the underside of his desk.” The underachiever finds that he actually enjoys school when his bad behavior is encouraged.

Another Treehouse of Horror XXV segment will be a parody of Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. Homer will play a droog named Dum who falls for a girl (Marge), and she’s going to try to convince him to leave his life of ultra-violence behind. Moe will be one of the members of Homer’s gang, and he’s going to beg Dum and his pals to pull off one last job before splitting up for good — they’ll try to rob Mr. Burns’ mansion. But will Burns meet the same twisted fate as the wealthy woman in A Clockwork Orange?

According to the Daily News, the Clockwork Orange segment will also feature references to other Stanley Kubrick movies, including Eyes Wide Shut. Be sure to watch for “a reference so obscure that the character perpetrating it admits he’s clueless about it.”

TV Guide reports that Treehouse of Horror fans will be able to revisit all of the Simpson family’s tales of terror on October 26. From noon until midnight, FXX will air a mini-marathon of the Halloween specials.

Which of the three Treehouse of Horror XXV segments are you looking forward to seeing most when the show airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on FOX?
