WWE: Kurt Angle To Stay With TNA, Shoots Down Triple H’s Offer For 2014 Return

The latest TNA news has Kurt Angle staying with TNA as a “big surprise” after the wrestler apparently shot down Triple H’s offer for a full-time contract with the WWE.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, when Vince McMahon was asked if he’d buy TNA in “order to save the business from Dixie Carter,” the WWE CEO was reportedly open to the idea. Of course, that may no longer be his decision, since former WWE wrestlers like Ricardo Rodriguez are claiming McMahon’s reign is over and Triple H is in charge, which allegedly means that only the favorites picked by Paul Levesque get the star treatment.

But when Kurt Angle began negotiating with the WWE about a potential 2014 return, he claimed Triple H was in charge.

“What I found out is that Triple H is pretty much running the show now,” Angle said. “I didn’t know that, I really believed that Vince would always run the show until the day he died, but now they’re in a position as a publicly traded company where you’re not only answering to Vince and Triple H, you’re also answering to the shareholders.”

This comment makes sense in the context that it was Triple H who made the full-time WWE offer, whereas Angle was adamant he could only handle a part-time schedule based upon his aging body. Apparently, Triple H was not interested in having Kurt Angle’s return to the WWE only be part-time, and it was rumored earlier in the week that Angle may stick with TNA instead.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio is now claiming that Kurt Angle will indeed be staying with TNA. Angle’s contract expired on September 21, 2014, so Meltzer claims that TNA management was wanting fans to believe Angle might leaving them for the WWE so that it would be a big surprise when he stays.

Of course, this is just a rumor at this point, so it’s possible that Kurt Angle’s WWE career could be revived so that he could finish his professional wrestling career in the WWE. Let us just hope that Angle staying with TNA is not the big TNA signing deal that’s been rumored in recent times.

But previous reports from The Inquisitr indicate that “Angle also wants to focus more on his acting future, and will be headed to Los Angeles soon for meetings and auditions.” The trick is whether his mic skills can translate into landing a major movie like Dave Batista, who went big time when he was in Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s also rumored Batista will be in James Bond 24.

Would you prefer that Kurt Angle return to the WWE or stick it out with TNA?
