Kenya Moore Gives Back To Detroit Schools After Snubbing Fans In Atlanta

Kenya Moore is proud to be from Detroit, even though she has been able to get out of the city and really reached her true potentials in the pageant world. She has also used her platform to land some movie deals, and now, she has her own production company. Moore has always said that she wanted to do something for the students in her hometown, but she hasn’t taken action.

Kenya Moore announced that she is donating $20,000 to her hometown’s school board. And it sounds like she wants to do something nice for the young individuals who have big dreams of being educated and being the best versions of themselves.

According to a new Bravo report, Kenya Moore is now revealing that she is using her Real Housewives of Atlanta fame to give back to her hometown of Detroit. She has often said that she wanted to give back to the students of Detroit and Kenya is finally keeping her promise. She has decided to donate $20,000 to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation. Moore is hoping that her financial contribution will help students in her hometown move on in life.

“Detroit is in trouble and needs our help right now. The public funding for our children in DPS is not being met,” Moore said about the Detroit’s school system, adding, “We have to provide the proper foundation for our children to succeed.”

Kenya Moore will actually be in Detroit when the check is handed over during an event that is scheduled to take place this Friday at her alma mater.

“What matters is that we take care of our kids. I’m trying to do my part, as small as it is,” Kenya Moore revealed, adding, “We are tough because we have to be. #Detroit” on her social media accounts.

But this school donation comes just days after Kenya Moore was accused of snubbing people who were waiting to meet her in Atlanta. Moore had supposedly held open interviews for a personal assistant earlier this month, where 150 people showed up to meet her.

“Some of these people had waited for 8 hours,” a source has revealed about Kenya Moore, adding, “The interviews were supposed to start at noon, but the first two hours consisted of a talent show while Kenya sat across the street to have lunch.”

According to The Inquisitr, Kenya Moore has said that many stories about her in the press are not true, but it is uncertain whether this story is true.
