That was proven last weekend with the box office performance of his latest family film, Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

It is true that the family-friendly movie did not do very well at the box office in comparison to the top movies – Gone Girl and Dracula: Untold. However, when you put things into perspective, the fact that Steve Carell is somewhat of a box office star will become apparently clear to you.
