Nick Cannon On Covering Mariah Carey Tattoo: ‘It Was Painful’ – Here’s Why!
Nick Cannon recently had the chance to open up about the aftermath to ending his relationship with Mariah Carey – including the recent pictures that have circulated online of his efforts to cover his “Mariah” tattoo with a completely different image.

When asked about the newly revised body art, Nick Cannon simply stated that the general public was never supposed to know that he was having it changed in the first place. Cannon went on to say that he was not aware that he was being filmed by paparazzi at the time that the picture was taken.
“I didn’t know they were there. That’s how sneaky the paparazzi are…. I had just gotten it done.”
Even though the concealment of the tattoo, which he had originally inked into his skin as a tribute to his love for Mariah Carey, was private, Nick Cannon continued to talk openly during the short interview with Extra TV to discuss the emotional side of the experience.
“It was painful…. It hurt a lot, and I’m still not finished. I’m still probably like six more sessions away.”
Perhaps the tattoo might end up looking even more different than it does right now once the remaining sessions have been completed.
While it is true that the Mariah Carey tattoo on Nick Cannon’s back is almost gone completely, it is apparently clear that his appreciation and respect for Mariah is still intact. That was proven by the way that Nick came to her defense when asked about the poor quality of her recent on-stage vocal performances.
According to Daily Mail, Nick Cannon still feels as if his future ex-wife is “one of the greatest performers.”
“You know you might have an off night here and there, but she’s one of the greatest performers and entertainers of all time, she’s not worried, we’re not worried, just going to keep pushing.”
Nick Cannon also stated that he has been taking “everything one day at a time” since his six-year marriage to Mariah Carey came to an end, claiming that he is “just trying to be the best person” that he can possibly be at the end of the day.
In addition to the rumors and speculation that have been circulating about his failed marriage to Mariah Carey, there are also quite a few rumors circulating about his alleged affair with his friend and client, Amber Rose.
Even though the divorce between Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon has not been officially filed and processed yet, a report from the New York Daily News states that Mariah should be filing the paperwork “very soon.”
