Waka Flocka Flame Arrested At Atlanta Airport: ‘No Hands’ Rapper Charged With Gun Possession

Waka Flaka, also known as Waka Flocka Flame, has been arrested at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta on Friday. According to the latest information from WXIA-11, 28-year-old Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, was arrested after a computer security scanner detected that he had a handgun in his possession at the airport. American rapper Waka Flocka was taken into custody and transported to the Clayton County Jail in Georgia, where he faces a charge of illegal gun possession, according to TMZ.

The Southern hip-hop artist has had his share of troubles in the past. Just last year, Inquisitr reported on the suicide death of Waka Flocka Flame’s brother, Kayo Redd in Atlanta.

In January 2010, Waka Flocka, who was signed to “So Icey Entertainment” and currently has 1.2 million followers on Twitter, was shot as he washed his car at the Bubble Bath Carwash located at 5220 Old National Highway. When police arrived at the scene they found Waka Flocka with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say the rapper was shot during a robbery attempt gone wrong. The Tennessee native later recovered from his injuries. In March 2010, a gunman opened fire into the crowd at a Waka Flocka concert, no deaths were reported in that brawl. Later that same month, the singer, whose mother used to manage Nicki Minaj, was arrested and charged with possession of a gun, which violated his probation.
