Rosie O’Donnell Is ‘Heartbroken’ About Stephen Collins
The news about Stephen Collins allegedly admitting to multiple child molestation claims has been a huge talking point over the last several days. Since the news broke, it’s grabbed headlines on every outlet, so it was only a matter of time before Collins’ confession made its way to the ladies of The View.
Stephen Collins’ confessional tape was at the center of the hot topics this morning. Not only was it a serious subject because of its nature, but both Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell knew Collins. Both women took to this topic and discussed how shocked they were when they heard the news.
O’Donnell was a bit more vocal about it and seemed to have a very firm opinion given the context of the story. Asserting how devastating and heartbreaking this news is about Collins, Rosie went on to say, “It devastates everyone in the radius of that person because it’s a shocking allegation. For me, I always have my antennae up, having had a childhood with that.”
O’Donnell, a victim of sexual abuse, continued and was certain that the voice on the tape is Collins’ as it is widely suspected, and virtually confirmed by the actor’s estranged wife.
“I can say as someone who knows him, it sounds an awful lot like him or it’s a very good impersonator. In my opinion, he’s the Michael Landon of this generation. He always plays the wholesome, loving, caring guy and in real life is that.”
Goldberg ended the discussion, closing with a few comments as she was visibly stunned as well.
“You never know who you are walking down the street with, you never know, sometimes, who you are sleeping with.”
As The Inquisitr reported, due to divorce proceedings, Faye Grant was advised to tape record her husband during a therapy session. At the time she made him verbally disclose what he had done to children throughout the years. While we don’t know anything further than what’s already admitted on the tape, Grant suspects that there’s more victims. Rumors are also circulating that Grant knew about Stephen’s sick behavior when he made off-colored remarks right before she gave birth.
Currently the New York Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating these claims made on the tape. All incidents are said to have happened between both coasts.
Collins’ 7th Heaven co-stars haven’t really come forward yet, although Beverley Mitchell did tweet cryptic quotes about the ordeal.
