Joseph Baena: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘Love Child’ Not a Kid Anymore
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s admitted love child recently proved that he is one tough cookie, just like the characters his father plays on the big screen. Joseph Baena was in the running for homecoming king of his school in California. And although he didn’t win the crown, like his former California governor father, Baena took his virtual punch in stride.
According to a report out today by TMZ, Baena, 17, was in the running to win the school’s honor in accompanying the homecoming queen to the big dance. Joseph was nominated, and ranked within the top-five finalists for king of the homecoming at Frontier High School in Bakersfield.
Schwarzenegger’s love child, to many, was considered a lock for the crown and scepter. Joseph Baena looks like a younger version of his father. He has a tall and toned physique, and sports Arnold’s trademark mouth-full-off-teeth smile.
Baena looked dapper as he rode on the back of a silver Porsche convertible at the school festivities. He was joined by an unidentified date, who was in the running for homecoming queen. Joseph was dolled up in a dark tuxedo, pink undercoat, matching tie, and a crimson-colored boutonnière.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s love child was introduced to the world just a few years ago when his father was still California’s governor. The revelation came when the actor-turned-politician admitted in a public statement that he fathered a child without his wife’s knowledge. The news was sobering, not only for Maria Shriver, but the public as well.
Two weeks after Maria and Arnold’s 25th wedding anniversary and four months after Schwarzenegger’s term as governor ended, the couple went their separate ways following news of the affair. They released a joint statement to the pubic about their separation.
“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together.”
Joseph is half-brother to Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s biological children: Katherine, 24, Christina, 23, Patrick, 21, and Christopher, 17. The younger half-siblings were born just five days apart.
Although the Terminator actor does not spend as much time with his love child, he and the teen’s mom, Patty Baena, the former maid and “other woman,” attended the recent premiere of The Expendables 3 movie in August, wrote the Daily Mail. Moreover, the four-bedroom modest home Joseph Baena and his mom reside in was reportedly bought by his father.
