NeNe Leakes Done With ‘Housewives’ Despite Raise, Joining ‘Fashion Police’?

NeNe Leakes might be done with The Real Housewives despite being offered a huge salary to join the new season of the hit Bravo show. The reality star has tweeted about “getting off” a “sinking ship,” and says that she has some huge projects in the works, but does that mean that she’s leaving the Housewives franchise? Not necessarily. According to The Hollywood Gossip, NeNe has been offered $1.5 million to return to the show for the next season. If she inks a deal, she will be the highest paid reality star on the network. How could someone possibly turn down that kind of money?

Well, according to WetPaint, there is a rumor floating around that Leakes will replace Joan Rivers on Fashion Police. It is unknown if she is in talks with producers or if she’s already agreed to anything, but a move from Bravo to E! would certainly mean a significant pay raise, right? It would also be pretty huge for NeNe’s career.

NeNe Leakes would be a good fit on the show, as she is funny, intelligent, quick-witted, and has good taste in fashion (according to some people). She even has her own clothing line, which makes her a great fit. Don’t forget that Kelly Osborne, Joan Rivers and Giuliana Rancic all have their own clothing lines (George Kotsiopoulos is reportedly working on his own line as well).

“NeNe certainly has the chops to fill the role, as well. In addition to being the head of her own clothing line, NeNe Leakes Collection, NeNe has never been one to shy away from a snappy catch phrase or witty retort.

So could NeNe’s Twitter messages all be hints that she’s moving on to something bigger and better?

According to The Inquisitr, changes to the RHOA cast are already going to shake things up next season. Losing NeNe Leakes would be a pretty significant blow, since she’s a favorite on the show. It seems as though Bravo took this into consideration when offering NeNe a pay raise, but will she even accept?
