‘Sex And The City 3’ In The Works? Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker Hint The Girls May Be Back Soon

It has been four years since fans of Sex and the City have seen their favorite ladies on the big screen. But now, after Jennifer Hudson said earlier this week that there may be another movie in the works, stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis are dropping hints on Twitter that have fans thinking Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha may be back together soon.

Davis and SJP had this exchange on Twitter over the weekend after Kristin tweeted a picture of the two of them together at the Sex and the City 2 premier, and everyone is wondering if it is about what they really think it is.

A Twitter fan asked Parker, “NEWS?!?! WHAT NEWS!!”

To which she slyly replied, “That news zooming around. X sj”

There has been plenty of talk of Sex and the City 3, but everyone involved has been pretty evasive about a third movie until now.

Sex and the City producer Michael Patrick King teased fans earlier this year by telling Entertainment Weekly that the team had “one story left.”

A few days later, People reports Sara Jessica Parker told Harper’s Bazaar that Carrie was a role of a lifetime and said, “Michael and I know what the story would be, but when and if it’s ever told, there has been no concrete discussion about it ever.”

The Inquisitr reported that SJP shot down rumors of a SATC 3 movie in an interview with Ellen Degeneres in March. She continued to be elusive about it, saying in June, “We’ve never really had real conversation about it, other than that I know there is a story. I think it’s a really lovely, wonderful story but whether or not we tell it remains to be seen.”

Now Jennifer Hudson, who played Carrie’s assistant in the first Sex and the City movie, told Dish Nation last week that there is some behind the scenes buzz about a third installment of the SATC films.

“I think it might be [happening],” Hudson said. “Somebody just came to me talking about that. So if it’s in the talks, it might happen. So look for it.”

Sex and the City 2 wasn’t as big a hit with fans as hoped, and many of them were disappointed because it took place in Abu Dhabi, not New York City. But there was plenty of room left for a future installment, hopefully with the girls back home in the city. The film ended with Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) finally sealing the deal with a big diamond ring, Miranda out of work, Charlotte raising two kids, and Samantha still single — so there are still adventures out there for them.

Could it be true? Sex and the City fans are certainly hoping the chatter really is something to get excited about.
