Jill Duggar Reveals Labor And Delivery Plans: Check Out What The Couple Has Planned

The most recently married Duggar, Jill Dillard, is only 15 weeks pregnant. However, that hasn’t stopped this mom-to-be from hashing out some of her labor and delivery plans.

In the September 1st issue of People Magazine, Jill discusses some of her birth plan. Jill notes that she does not plan to have the newest member of the Duggar family in a hospital, but rather she will have the baby in the comfort of her own home.

“I think home birth is really special because you are in your own environment. You don’t have to pick up, move and have that stall labor. I am looking forward to having the calm, intimate setting of being home.”

The decision for a home birth is not that unexpected for Jill or any Duggar for that matter as many of the older girls in the family have been training to become doulas or midwives, Jill included. In fact, Jill has assisted in over 70 other home births during her time as a midwife-in-training. Jill has also discussed a little about how she plans to receive encouragement during her home birth.

Jill posted a photo to her Instagram account outlining her plan for a scripture board that will be used during trying times of pregnancy, labor and delivery.

Jill wrote, “Writing out bible verses for encouragement during pregnancy, labor and delivery! #scriptureboard #babydilly #pregnancyprep #blessedparents.”

In the photo we see Jill and Derick Dillard writing out some of their favorite scriptures onto note cards that will be placed on the scripture board. The couple also included lyrics from inspiration songs. Some of the verses included Isaiah 26:3, which reads: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” And 1 Chronicles 4:10, “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.’ And God granted this request.” Inspirational songs that also were copied include “I Will Serve Thee” and “How Great Is Our God.”

The scripture board aligns perfectly with the Dillard’s plans to raise their children in a Christian home. Jill is planning to go to the scripture board anytime during pregnancy, labor or delivery that she needs encouragement or uplighting of spirit.

Birth plans aren’t the only thing Jill and Derick Dillard have prepared for the upcoming birth of their first child. The couple has also already completed their baby registry. The registry is full of typical baby items, but also includes a few unusual requests.

Jill has complete support from the whole Duggar family, but what do you think of Jill Dillard’s birth plans?
