Natalie Portman, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes were among those who picked up gongs at the 2011 Scream Awards.

Harry Potter (six awards) and Black Swan (three) were the main victors at the awards, which are held annually to celebrate the sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres in movies, TV and comic books.

Portman won for her turn in Black Swan, Radcliffe for his role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, and Jackman for a cameo in X-Men: First Class. Fiennes clinched a ‘Best Villain’ award for his portrayal of Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter.

Categories I think we’d all like to see at the next Oscars include the ‘Holy Sh!t Scene of the Year’ (Potter again) and ‘Most Memorable Mutilation’ (Scalped Alive by Motorboat, Piranha 3D, since you asked).

Black swan is not only a bad movie, it was a very depressing one. I don't believe Natalie is capable of committing to and/or portraying the character of the film unless it's rated 'G'. The Oscars should develop a point value system where a nominee must score decisively in order to win. If there are no decisive winners, then no oscar is awarded, however, next year you could have 2 oscars awarded provided there are two decisive winners. You should never award an oscar just because the winner is the best of the worst. Non winner nominees would be notified 2-3 days prior to oscar night.

    Just a thought.
