Kenny Chesney, Lady Gaga, Bono to Headline Clinton Charity Concert

Kenny Chesney, Lady Gaga, Bono, and a handful of other famous musicians are all set to perform later tonight in a concert honoring former President Bill Clinton’s charitable work and achievements since leaving the White House.

The “Decade of Difference” concert – part of a weekend of festivities, including a $6,500 per couple gala belatedly celebrating Clinton’s 65th birthday – will be held this evening (Oct. 15) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and will be produced by Control Room, the creative force behind some of the world’s most iconic and historic global events including Live Earth and the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off concerts.

Ticket prices for the event, which will be webcast live exclusively on Yahoo.com, range from $50 to $550.

The online program, slated to kick off at 7pm PST, will include highlights and interviews with the artists and other guests, during and after the live event.

Viewers also will be able to access the show on demand, and they’ll be encouraged to make a financial contribution via Yahoo! at the dedicated site found here.

“I am proud that some of today’s most influential performers are coming together to raise awareness about the work of my Foundation,” Clinton said in a statement. “In the past decade, commitments to my Clinton Global Initiative have improved the lives of more than 300 million people around the world. We’ve lowered the cost of AIDS and HIV treatment, combated climate change, strengthened economies, increased access to education and healthcare, provided financing and mentoring for small businesses. This celebration marks ten years of these efforts and demonstrates how much we can do to make a difference in the years ahead.”
