Carrie Underwood Feels Heavenly About New Christian Single: Listen [Video]

Throughout her career, Carrie Underwood hasn’t hesitated to show her Christian faith. One of her biggest hits, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” won a Grammy. Now she is singing about her spirituality and belief in God in the new song “Something in the Water.” The track will be featured on her upcoming Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album, revealed Rolling Stone on September 29. And turning it into an early Christmas present for Carrie Underwood fans, the album will be available in stores in early December.

The song highlights Carrie’s experience and maturation since that day when she stood on the American Idol stage, wide-eyed with excitement as she learned that she had won. All that she had to do was steer her car to Nashville (with Jesus at the wheel) to begin climbing the ladder of country music success.

But Carrie has accomplished more than even music wizard Simon Cowell ever envisioned. She’s become a recognized music legend, a celebrity who co-hosts country music award shows. Tapped recently to take on the lead role in Sound of Music, Underwood earned mixed reviews for her acting. Carrie credited God in her tweet after the show.

“Glory to God tonight… I couldn’t be more proud. What a tough thing to pull off and we did it! I am so blessed!!!”

And her new song “Something in the Water” also shows her belief that she is blessed. The collaboration with Chris DeStefano and Brett James is designed to point to the power of Christianity, Carrie said on the Today show.

“[The song is] a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and waking up and having that a-ha moment and your life being different from that moment forward.”

Asked about her pregnancy on the Today show, Carrie Underwood wasn’t quite so positive, pointed out Hollywood Life on September 29. She loves being a “mom” to her dogs, but envisioning a baby in her life is more challenging.

“It’s still kinda weird, to be honest,” confessed the country crooner. “Sometimes I’ll be with my husband, and it’s like, I’m gonna be a mom. You’re gonna be a dad. Is this real life?”

What is real life, however, is her determination to stay healthy throughout her pregnancy. As the Inquisitr reported, Carrie is working out regularly. She’s modified her workouts, but her trainer revealed that Underwood is lifting weights, doing squats, and even using a punching bag. She also follows a plant-based diet.

Maybe there’s “Something In The Water,” but there’s definitely something about Carrie Underwood that makes her positive attitude contagious. Her tweet about her first time hearing her new single on the radio earned more than 2,500 favorites.

“Just heard #SomethingInTheWater for the first time on the radio! Yay! So happy happy happy!!!
