Chris Brown’s Mother Fears For The Singer’s Life Due To Gang Affiliation

In a report by TMZ, Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, and his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, are worried about the R&B star’s association with the infamous L.A. Bloods gang. According to TMZ, Chris’ mother, who is also his manager, has approached Brown’s therapist because she was deeply concerned about his career and ultimately his safety.

However, earlier this month, Chris Brown rebuffed rumors of any ties to the Bloods in an MTV News interview. Chris maintains that he is just “cordial” with the group.

“When you’re in L.A. and you’re around people, you meet everybody. You meet Crips, you meet Bloods, especially in this industry that I’m in. I’m not in the country world, I’m not in the all-the-way pop world. [When] you’re in hip-hop, all of that meshes.”

Although not an initiated member of the gang, Chris Brown is known to hang out with several members of the notorious gang. Chris is occasionally seen flashing gang signs and wearing The Bloods’ signature red color.

Chris Brown admitted earlier this month that he had been seeing a therapist to help with his anger management issues.

“I talk to my therapist twice a week whether it’s good or bad. I think it’s good to have somebody that you can vent to. Somebody that understands situations and is not judgmental, as a young guy coming up in the industry at 15, you don’t really get that, you don’t get the crash course on how to grow up and how to learn from your mistakes and handle situations differently.

“It’s good to feel this way because feelings, emotions and energy are supposed to come and go. It’s not supposed to stay there, you’re not supposed to keep it inside, because it’ll just bottle up and you’ll become a monster.”

The Inquisitr reported that rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight, a founder of Death Row Records, and two others were shot early Sunday in a packed West Hollywood nightclub at a pre-VMA party hosted by singer Chris Brown. Many believe that the trouble originated from members of the singer’s entourage.

Many speculate that the Los Angeles Police Department has already gone to various L.A. clubs and bars, trying to convince owners to ban Chris and his entourage due to fear of the violence that might ensue.

Chris Brown has had a long history of being on the wrong side of the law. Brown is still on probation and facing a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly breaking a man’s nose at the W Hotel in Washington D.C. last October.
