Michael C Hall must be a tight ass, because Jennifer Carpenter has been spotted out and about after eloping with Michael C Hall wearing a wedding band but no engagement ring.

Come on Michael, splash some cash and buy the woman a ring. Its bad enough you cheated us out of the romance, not to mention the wedding speculation, the least you could have done was gone to H Stern.

They must also be traditionalists because Jennifer’s wedding ring is simple plain gold band.

    It's just life imitating art. Dexter wasn't going to buy Rita an engagement ring, so Michael didn't get Jennifer one. Except on the show, Debra actually persuaded Dexter to get a huge one for her – Rita I mean, not Deb. Ack, my head hurts.

    But seriously, if it was very much a spur of the moment thing, there may have been no engagement – they just went straight to the wedding.

    And, at the Golden Globes, she's wearing what could be a diamond ring on her other hand, so…
