Avril Lavigne Turns 30, Celebrates Birthday Without Chad Kroeger

Avril Lavigne turned 30 on September 27, a milestone she reportedly celebrated by partying in Las Vegas. However, word on the street suggests she got the proverbial party started without husband Chad Kroeger.

If you live and breathe celebrity gossip, then you’re probably up your eyeballs in rumors regarding Lavigne’s broken marriage. Sources and insiders believe it’s really only a matter of time before the Canadian pop princess and the Nickelback frontman go their separate ways. In fact, some folks believe the pair are closer to getting a divorce than ever before.

According to The Daily Mail, Lavigne celebrated her birthday in the wilds of Sin City without her hubby on her dainty arm. As such, many mildly concerned parties are assuming that Avril and Chad’s relationship is officially on the marital rocks.

In fact, the website published a photo that proves Lavigne replaced her wedding ring with a “pearl solitaire ring to match her accessories.” While this is sometimes a telltale sign that a marriage is in the throes of death, it’s not always an indicator things are falling apart behind the scenes. In other words, it’s still very much a wait and see situation.

However, The Daily Mail insists that Avril looked absolutely fabulous while hanging out with her friends in Las Vegas. The handy description should paint a vivid mental picture.

“The petite pop star partied instead with a couple of girlfriends and looked gorgeous in a pink strapless number as she was presented with a giant cupcake birthday cake. The blonde Complicated singer looked cheerful surrounded by her sister-in-law Amie Lavigne and best friend Caryn Alpert at the Hotel’s Bank nightclub. She wore her long blonde locks in glamorous waves and wore her signature thick black eyeliner and lashings of mascara. Her figure-hugging frock stopped just above her knees and featured a pretty gathering of fabric on her left hip which accentuated her tiny waist. She donned classic nude pumps and accessorised with a wrist of pearl and diamond bracelets.”

According to E! Online, the constant fighting between Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger is directly related to their penchant for uncontrollable flirting. Since both singers have a tendency to get a little too close to members of the opposite sex when they’re out and about, it would appear that jealousy is starting to seep into the romance.

“She flirts, he flirts. She’s very insecure to begin with,” an anonymous source recently told the outlet, adding that poor sales of the “Hello Kitty” singer’s self-titled album have also contributed to the downfall of their romance.
