Japanese author Kagami Kyousuke has released a new book that combines safe sex and cooking called, tsukutte agetai konndomu gohan, or Condom Meals I Want To Make For You. The cookbook is just as strange as you might think and features 11 recipes that use condoms as cooking tools. It’s available on Amazon Kindle for $2.99, unfortunately only in Japanese.

Kyosuke Kagami is a manga writer famous for Sentou Hakai Gakuen Dangerous, but her latest work is a far cry from that. Kyosuke writes the exact situation you need this book.

Roughly translated from Japanese, “All of a sudden the boyfriend is coming over, but what to do? In the refrigerator all I have is leftovers and condoms…”

If you’ve ever found yourself in this situation, first of all, please don’t keep condoms in the refrigerator. Second, this Japanese cookbook is perfect for you.

Condom Meals I Want To Make For You features unique delights like condom salmon sushi, escargot in butter (also in a condom), and condom fruit parfait for dessert. Keep in mind that rubbers are tools, not ingredients, that would just be strange. Instead, all of the dishes are compacted and served inside a prophylactic. Although there’s a good chance that the subtle taste of latex partially remains on the food.

Although the book may seem like nothing more than a joke, the author is addressing some important issues in Japanese society.
