Bruce Jenner On The Hook For Up To $250k In IRS Audit

Bruce Jenner could find himself paying $250,000 to the Internal Revenue Service depending on the results of a pending IRS audit, according to recent reports. Radar Online broke the news that Kris and Bruce Jenner are being audited by the IRS. Citing divorce documents attained by the website, Radar Online reported that the couple is being audited for the tax year 2011, but they could also be audited for any of the years during which they were married, up to and including 2013. They tied the knot in 1991.

Perez Hilton quoted an unnamed source when he posted about the Jenners’ financial situation. While any balance uncovered by the pending IRS audit will allegedly be payable by both Kris and Bruce Jenner, the track star’s portion is capped at $250,000. That means any amount due in excess of half a million will be payable solely by Kris.

“If the pending audit results in a balance due, [Bruce] shall pay half (50%) of any liability due thereon, inclusive of penalties and interest, up to a maximum contribution of $250,000. Filed joint federal and state income tax returns for the calendar years 1991 [the year they married], through and including 2013 [the year they separated, on June 1].[Kris and Bruce both] agree that they shall cooperate with each other with regard to any such audit or further assessment.”

Wet Paint noted that the couple has plenty of property to divide in the divorce.

“Kris [Jenner née Houghton] will take five luxury cars, her Hidden Hills mansion, and $50 million in cash, while Bruce [Jenner] will get his Malibu pad, two rides, and $20 million to walk away with.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bruce Jenner is worth an estimated $100 million. His future ex-wife has an estimated $30 million to fall back on post-divorce. Even with a hefty tax bill, the former couple will probably be able to pay the bills. If not, there’s always Bruce’s $40,000 per appearance speaking fee and Kris’s 10 percent off-the-top cut of her famous clientele’s income. She represents not only Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, but also Rob Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and rising mononymous supermodel Kendall.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, when Bruce Jenner and his estranged wife Kris filed for divorce on the same day, their two daughters responded publicly in different ways. For Kylie Jenner, that meant posting a sad poem by R. M. Drake to her Instagram page. Kendall Jenner reacted by sharing a throwback pic of her parents in happier times. The photo of a young Bruce Jenner and his beaming wife quickly went viral.
