‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ To Reveal Superhero Secrets, Insists Star

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be more intimate, yet still bigger and better than its 2012 predecessor, according to its star, Jeremy Renner. The actor admitted that secrets about each of the characters will also be unveiled.

Renner, who will play Hawkeye in the hugely anticipated sequel, has been very busy promoting his new film, Kill The Messenger, over the last few days. But since he is heavily involved in the superhero behemoth, questions always seem to inevitably turn to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

However, Renner is a seasoned pro, and knows that this is just part of the game, so he is always happy to oblige with comments. According to Comic Book, during a recent chat with Access Hollywood, Renner declared that Age of Ultron will not only add to the spectacle of the original with bigger and better action scenes, but promised that it will also be a more intimate portrayal of the characters involved.

“I think that one will be bigger and better, and also more intimate. I think that everything that worked in the first one is exponentially going to be better in this one. I think the comedic relief, I think the action, and it’s going to be bigger. There’s more time spent with all of the Avengers together, as a unit on and off the clock, which is actually really fun. A lot of secrets are revealed, and more secrets are posed.”

Renner previously made it clear that he sees his character as more of a solo beast, and he doesn’t envision Hawkeye ever having to make a solo film of the character. During another chat, this time with MTV News, Renner pretty much confirmed that the deadliest superhero in all the land with a bow and arrow at his hand would be involved in the third installment of the Captain America franchise.

“I’m happy to be the ensemble. I’m not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means. I think he’s a utility guy that can bounce around into other people’s universe a little bit. Especially like ‘Cap 3.'”

He then stared deep into camera and gave a little wink and smile that pretty much confirmed he will be sharing the screen with Chris Evans’ hugely patriotic character when the film is released on May 6, 2016.
