Bill O’Reilly: Al Qaeda Wants To Kill Me [Video]

Killing O’Reilly?

Bill O’Reilly claims he has been on the Al Qaeda hit list since the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

The O’Reilly Factor host on the Fox News Channel is on a book touring promoting his latest Killing tome, this time Killing Patton, about the dynamic World War II general who died under mysterious circumstances. Previous books in the best-selling series are Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, and Killing Jesus, written with co-author Martin Dugard.

The revelation about the personal Al Qaeda threat emerged perhaps accidentally in an interview with Yahoo’s Global News Anchor Katie Couric. See embed below for the full interview to obtain the context.

Couric, who seems to like the word “nervous,” asked O’Reilly if he was nervous about the ISIS threat. She was alluding fears for the American people collectively rather than him being targeted personally, but the Fox News anchor apparently misinterpreted the question, at least initially.

O’Reilly went on to say, “I’ve been on the Al Qaeda death list since 9/11. Me. My name’s there… I was warned by the FBI. And I said,’okay, they better get me the first time.’ I don’t think about myself in that context.”

As far as whether he is “nervous” about an ISIS terrorist attack on American soil, O’Reilly declared that he’s not nervous, but he is “concerned that our national defense is not as effective as it should be.”

There already have been various allegations that ISIS has entered or intends to enter America from Mexico given the lack of border security.

Earlier in the interview, O’Reilly chided Obama for telling the enemy in advance — or pandering to U.S. public opinion — that there would be no American military boots on the ground in Iraq to fight ISIS. On Monday night, the U.S. military began bombing ISIS targets in Syria for the first time.

On the other side of the coin, a Fox News contributor recently discovered that his name appears on the Department of Homeland Security’s terrorist watch list. Weekly Standard writer Stephen Hayes, is who a regular talking head on the network, was subject to extra screening in a recent roundtrip flight to Minneapolis. Hayes tweeted that the issue may have been related to a one-way trip to Turkey this summer for a cruise; he and his wife flew home from Athens, Greece. The journalist tried to get this sorted out by completing the necessary forms on the DHS website, but it apparently went about as well as trying to get Obamacare medical insurance on HeathCare.gov.

Bill O’Reilly is also putting forward a controversial proposal to create a volunteer army of mercenaries to fight global terrorism.
