Meghan Trainor ‘Not Allowed To Talk Or Sing,’ Cancels Shows – Here’s Why!

Meghan Trainor will not be singing “All About That Bass” for quite some time – especially if she wants to follow her doctor’s orders!

On Tuesday, Meghan Trainor used her official Twitter account to inform her fans and followers that her doctor’s orders required her to cancel her upcoming shows in order to give her a voice and body a much-needed period of rest and relaxation.

“My doctor just told me I’m not allowed to talk or sing for the next four days. He said if I talk/sing I could be on voice rest for the next two weeks or more so I had to cancel my Texas shows.

Meghan later vented just how upset her illness has made her, especially since it prevents her from being able to see the “beautiful faces” of her friends. However, she stated that she would make it up to all of them as soon as possible.

I’m so upset I can’t see your beautiful faces and sing with you guys. I’m gonna reschedule the shows ASAP, I promise!

Fortunately, Meghan Trainor has been able to prove that she can find the positive side of almost anything – including her illness. What is the positive side to this relatively dark cloud? Meghan Trainor plans on still connecting to her fans and followers by continuing to use her social media profiles.

That is true! Meghan Trainor has been able to actively keep up with regular updates, messages and posts through her official Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profiles over the past several months – especially now that her illness has separated her from the fans that have caused her to skyrocket towards the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Therefore, even though quite a few people in Texas are going to be a little disappointed by not being able to see her live, they can rest assured in knowing that they can still satisfy their Meghan Trainor cravings with her songs, as well as her social media profiles.

According to the Corpus Christi Caller Times, Meghan Trainor has already gotten the ball rolling when it comes to rescheduling her performances. According to Kent Cooper, the general manager of Convergent Broadcasting, Meghan Trainor confirmed her cancellation on Tuesday and that all existing ticket holders would be able to use their original tickets for the future date.

In the meantime, Meghan Trainor fans can enjoy her “All About That Bass” music video (which has been seen over 88 million times on YouTube) or purchase her “Title” EP (available on iTunes), which features “All About That Bass” as the lead single. That should hold them over at least until Meghan has a full recovery and gets back on the road.
