Madonna Denies Rumors

PEOPLE’s Exclusive was pretty interesting this weekend, since it involved Madonna actually stepping up to the plate to address the nasty rumors that have been circulating. To refresh memories (if anyone out there needs it!), there had been significant buzz about a suspected divorce between her and husband Guy Ritchie, as well as her possible affair with Yankee star Alex Rodriguez. To this, Madonna responded:

My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.

Madonna’s slipped out from under our radar for now, but that doesn’t mean that things have quieted down in the least– in the gossip world, that is!

As usual, it’s best to stay tuned. I’m not 100% convinced, even after all this.
