THQ week kicks off on Steam, get Metro 2033 for $5

If all of your money hasn’t already been ripped from your gasp due to the wave of games coming out this month and the next, THQ is throwing a rather large sale over on Steam this week, with new titles going on sale daily.

For today’s sale, THQ and Valve are offering up Metro 2033 for just $5. On the off chance that you have no clue just what Metro 2033 is, the game takes you through a post-apocalyptic world populated by various frightening creatures. It’s dark, it’s a bit scary, and the atmosphere of the game is really quite something. For $5, you’ll absolutely be getting your money’s worth.

If you’re looking to spend a little more than $5, THQ is also offering a selection of some of their best titles, including Darksiders, Red Faction: Guerrilla, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, and the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II games, all for a very agreeable $49.

If you don’t want to wait and see if one of those games go on sale individually, you can get nearly all of THQ’s library – excluding Saints Row: The Third, of course – for at least 33% off from now until October 17.
