Teresa Giudice Not Pregnant, Now Faces Jail Time Instead Of House Arrest?

Rumors that Teresa Giudice is pregnant are reportedly not true, but could that mean prison time instead of house arrest for the Real Housewives of New Jersey Star? Teresa’s crisis manager, Wendy Feldman, tells Us Weekly that her client is not expecting baby number five with her husband, Joe, and would not get pregnant just to avoid jail time.

Last week, In Touch Weekly reported that Giudice is indeed pregnant, fueling rumors that the reality TV star wanted to have another baby to avoid jail time. Getting pregnant was rumored to be a ploy to persuade the judge presiding over her fraud case to hand down a house arrest sentence instead of the expected two-plus years in jail. In Touch claimed that the RHONJ star would “make millions” having her baby, in prison or out, and posted a photo of her supposed “baby bump” on the cover of their most recent issue.

However, Giudice’s crisis manager, Wendy Feldman, told US Weekly that the story about her client was “false in every way,” and Teresa would never intentionally get pregnant knowing she might face time behind bars. Although Giudice discussed having more children when she appeared on The Wendy Williams Show last year, her manager is positive that she is not pregnant, and she is not planning to have another child until all of the couple’s legal troubles are behind them.

“Teresa does not know if she is going to prison and would not have [a] baby, nor would anybody, under the circumstances described.”

Teresa and Joe Giudice are due in court on October 2, and it will be up the judge handling the case to decide who goes to prison and for how long. Despite all of the rumors, it is still unknown what will happen on the sentencing date until they face the judge next month.

While they wait for their court date, the couple has been trying to sell off their homes in an effort to pay off creditors and put aside some cash. In Touch reports that they recently listed their Jersey Shore vacation home for sale for under $300,000, just one week after putting their home in Montvale on the market for $4 million.

Producers at Bravo seem to be just as anxious as Teresa and Joe about the impending sentencing date, but only because they want to boost the reality show’s ratings. Perez Hilton reports that taping of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion was previously scheduled to happen in September, but it’s been pushed back to October 5 so all of the post-sentencing drama can be caught on camera. Hilton’s sources state that the network will continue to delay taping if the court date is moved again.

“They keep delaying it. They want to get her sentencing in. They will continue to delay until she is sentenced.”

Us Weekly’s source claims that there is a good chance that Teresa Giudice will get house arrest for the four fraud charges she pled guilt to last March. Joe, however, may not be so lucky, with at least four years of prison and possible deportation back to Italy possible.
