Prince Harry Arriving In U.S. This Week For Helicopter Training

Prince Harry will be in California this week to take part in helicopter gunship training at bases located in California and Arizona.

The commanding US officer at the Naval Air Facility at El Centro told CNN:

“He will be Captain Wales when he is here,” while adding, “He will be treated like any other British pilot.”

Harry will be joining 19 other British pilots who are training on Apache attack helicopters in a desert location just north of the Mexican border.

The Prince is expected to head off to Afghanistan once his training is completed and the desert conditions he will be training at in the United States are meant to resemble what he will face with his fellow soldiers in that region.

While Harry is expected to spend most of his time in the desert he’ll also have free reign to hit up Las Vegas and other surrounding areas with his fellow British airmen when they are off duty.

As luck would have it Las Vegas sits almost directly between the two bases where Prince Harry will be receiving his training.
