Former ‘RHOBH’ Star Dana Wilkey Could Face 20 Years Behind Bars

Dana Wilkey made quite the impression during her short stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She appeared as a friend of the housewives as she was a close friend of Taylor Armstrong. Dana had been there for Taylor as she battled through an abusive marriage. However, Wilkey was not hired on to film the show with the other ladies, even though she had no problem bragging about her $25,000 sunglasses.

It appears that things have changed for this former Bravo star. Dana Wilkey broke off her engagement with her then-partner, John Flynn, and she has since found love with Irish businessman Philip Marley. Dana came on the show briefly last year and called the relationship true love.

According to a new Bravo report, Dana Wilkey may be blooming in the love department, but she is in hot water with the FBI over fraudulent activity and if convicted, she could spend 20 years behind bars.

Even though Dana isn’t in the spotlight anymore, she is keeping busy. The FBI has been investigating her, and they indicted her on six charges of fraud. Wilkey has not entered a plea yet, and there is no word on when a potential trial could take place. Dana Wilkey was able to post $25,000 in bond, so she could be with her young son.

Dana Wilkey may have flaunted her wealth while filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but it sounds like she doesn’t have too much cash these days. Wilkey has supposedly asked the judge to give her the $25,000 bond money back, because she is a single mother who can’t afford to take care of herself, her son and even her elderly grandmother.

“While working, Dana Wilkey faces financial costs beyond her own defense,” her attorneys argue, adding, “She is a single mother of a young child and she is also responsible for the costs of caring for a 97-year-old grandmother. The continued posting of property is not reasonably necessary. It is a burden.”

Details of her fraud charges have not been released, but she is not the first housewife to be charged with fraud. Teresa Giudice and her husband recently pleaded guilty to several charges of fraud, and they could both face jail time. Their sentencing will take place in October.

According to The Inquisitr, Dana Wilkey was hired alongside Brandi Glanville as friends of the housewives during the second season. Wilkey continued to make appearances after this second season, but was never hired on as an official housewife.
