‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Cast Does ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Parody [Photo]
Looks like the Grey’s Anatomy cast were in an Orange is the New Black mood. Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on the show, recently shared a photo of a few key cast members dressed up as central characters of the Netflix show.
Using the caption, “Blue is the new black,” Ellen Pompeo and Sara Ramirez rocked their Orange is the New Black looks like no one else can. Pompeo showed off some pretty impressive cornrows, just like the character Tricia Miller did in Season 1.
As for Ramirez, she worked an impressive Alex Vause look, complete with the signature thick rimmed glasses, lipstick, and wingtipped eyeliner.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, the cast of Grey’s Anatomy is full steam ahead with their shooting schedule.
For the upcoming 11th season, we’ve had a few scoop worthy spoilers that came straight from series creator Shonda Rhimes mouth. This is in part due to her interviews with TV Line.
Rhimes teased that this season Alex and Meredith will become closer friends. Although they’ve always had a brother and sister relationship, because of Cristina, we didn’t really get to see Meredith lean on Alex in her time of need. Now it’s time for him to step up and fill Cristina’s shoes as best as he can.
“They’re the last men standing of those original interns. I wouldn’t say they’re becoming besties. [It’s more that] they’ve always had a very close relationship that didn’t ever need a lot of work because they always had a million other people there. Now, it’s sort of the two of them, and they do become closer,” said Rhimes.
Not only does Alex have big shoes to fill, but he will also has a lot on his plate in his personal and professional life. He’s currently in his first serious relationship since his ex-wife Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) left him, and now he has to decide whether he wants to return to the hospital after Cristina left him her shares and her seat on the board.
Additionally his relationship with Jo may suffer due to his close relationship with Meredith.
“Jo is going to be horrified to discover how much time Alex is going to be spending with Meredith, and how much time Meredith is going to be spending [at their] house. Alex feels responsible for her. He feels like Cristina didn’t just leave him a seat on the board and the shares, she left him Meredith as well.”
It’s good to know that the cast can still have some fun among all the drama!
