If you’ve ever felt like (or were told) you were bad at your job, you can at least take comfort in the fact that you didn’t accidentally walk in front of an F/A-18′s path as it was attempting a landing.

That’s exactly what two crewmen aboard an aircraft carrier did this past month; as an F/A-18 jet was preparing for landing, two crewmen walked along the deck, seemingly oblivious to the fact that they were seconds away from becoming on the deck.

Fortunately, that didn’t happen – the flight deck alerted the pilot of the wandering crewmen, and the F/A-18 was able to lift back up just in time. Probably still scared the daylights out of them, though.
