The Talking — or “Talkin'” — Barbie in this video apparently could use a lesson in manners. Or something. Because after hearing what this Barbie doll has to say when you press one of the heart-shaped buttons along her belt, all we can say is — WTF?
Actually, we could use your help here. After you play this video of the Barbie saying what it says, please tell us — did we just hear what we think we heard? But be warned, this Barbie’s language is a little bit NSFW.
By the way, for those of you new to internet abbreviations, “NSFW” stands for “Not Safe For Work.” So what does “WTF” stand for? Well, watch this video and Talkin’ Barbie will tell you — in no uncertain terms.
This aberrant Barbie was discovered by a 25-year-old mom over in Wales, Talina Evans, who bought the Barbie for her 7-year-old daughter, Demileigh. But she immediately took the Barbie back from her little girl after getting an earful of this doll’s vocabulary.
“She had wanted the doll for a while so my dad bought it for her, and I let her have it. She loved it and has been playing with it constantly ever since. We hadn’t really paid that much attention to it or what it was saying,” Talina told Britain’s Mirror newspaper.
But as soon as she started listening, the mom went back to the local store where the girl’s granddad bought the doll to register a complaint — possibly even to say, “WTF?”
But what about little Demileigh?
“We just told her that the doll had been bad and was swearing so it had to go,” said Tamila. “She was disappointed, of course, but she understood that it is wrong to swear and so the doll had to go.”
The intrepid reporters at BuzzFeed reached out to Barbie’s manufacturer, Mattel, for a comment. But there had been no response from the toy maker by Tuesday morning.
Listen to this Talkin’ Barbie — as long as you’re not easily offended — and tell us what you think the doll is saying.
