Jennifer Lopez Turning Into A Diva? Singer Arrives Five Hours Late For Video Shoot

Jennifer Lopez has made her mark on Hollywood for going against the flow – showing admirable amounts of humility and grace in an industry where pompous is king. Lopez makes sure she visits her humble roots in Bronx, New York regularly, even urging her kids to keep in touch with their relatives by having them stay with them on the “block,” instead of checking in at sky-rise hotels whenever they visit the Big Apple.

However, fame and fortune can get even to the humblest of stars. According to recent stories, Jennifer made a diva move by arriving five hours late for the video shoot of “Stressin,'” holding up the production for crew members and for musical collaborator and Lopez’s fellow Bronx native rapper Fat Joe. Insiders for New York Daily News revealed that the shoot was split into two locations and that Lopez was so late for the second one that it had to begin an hour before it was scheduled to end. Sources for the website’s “Condifenti@l” section gave details on Jennifer’s diva-inspired arrival on the set.

“Lopez was supposed to show up at the shoot at the Griffin at 9 a.m, but she didn’t actually arrive until 2 p.m. They were supposed to be at the Bronx location by 5 p.m., and they didn’t make it up there until 9 p.m.”

Unsurprisingly, this pissed off a few of the crew members, including Fat Joe. Although it wasn’t clarified if he was specifically mad at Jennifer Lopez, her tardiness definitely made the whole production more stressful than it should be. This isn’t the first time the rapper collaborated with Jennifer. In 2005, the two recorded “Hold You Down,” which made its way in the Billboard’s Top 40 that year.

“Fat Joe was pretty mad. I don’t know if he was specifically mad about Jennifer, but the time crunch made everything more stressful. The crew were saying they were tired because they’d got up so early to start at the Griffin, and then they didn’t get finished until about 1.30 a.m. Everything was supposed to be finished by 10 p.m.”

Jennifer Lopez definitely wasn’t popular when she arrived in the set, which featured a huge cast and was supposed to be Joe’s most expensive video shoot ever.

Apparently, this isn’t Jennifer’s first diva moment. Last year, model Chrissy Teigen complained about Lopez’ assistants, whom she claimed hassled her while she was backstage watching husband John Legend perform. According to E!, the model took to Twitter her frustrations over the event

“I love Jennifer Lopez. But as I am sitting and watching John perform, I don’t need her people to lay down the j-lo laws… I have never once been asked to leave an area for an artist’s supreme arrival.”

Jennifer Lopez will star on The Boy Next Door, set to open on theaters next year.
