Celebrating Flo Rida’s 35th Birthday With His 10 Best Club Songs

Today Tramar Lacel Dillard, aka Flo Rida, turns 35 and we figured what better way to pay homage to this king of the club bangers from The Sunshine State then to celebrate his greatest dance anthems ever.

Flo Rida is best known for his breakout hit “Low” featuring T-Pain, which sat at the number one spot on the charts for ten weeks straight. Ever since then, Flo Rida, with the help of some very influential friends, has been churning out the hits that will get your girl twerking in no time. To date, the rapper has released four studio albums and knocked down an impressive 75 million downloads from fans all over the world.

10. “Run” featuring Red Foo of LMFAO (2012)

Run appears on Flo Rida’s fourth album, Wild Ones and features Red Foo from the group LMFAO. This is a great track to listen to when you’re not on the club too. You know, when you’re on the treadmill.

9. “Who Dat Girl” featuring Akon (2010)

Akon and Flo Rida team up for “Who Dat Girl” which debuted on the UK charts in position 136 before topping off at 31. This is yet another one to add to your gym playlist, if you’re into that sort of thing.

8. “Elevator” featuring Timbaland (2008)

Yet another collaboration that struck gold for Flo Rida is this track about getting naughty elevator style. Or at least this song will elevate your mood when you’re at the club. You see what I did there? “Elevator” appeared on Flo Rida’s debut album Mail on Sunday.

7. “Sugar” featuring Wynter Gordon (2009)

“Sugar” is the second single off of Flo Rida’s second studio album. The combination of Flo Rida’s grit and Wynter Gordon’s sassiness helped this song shoot to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.

6. “Where Them Girls At” David Guetta, Flo Rida, and Nicki Minaj 2011

So technically this song belongs to David Guetta, but the collaboration between Guetta and Flo Rida on this song makes it pop. Nicki Minaj adds her own flavor on the track to make it one of the most requested club songs in Flo Rida’s repertoire.

5. “Whistle” (2012)

During the summer of 2012, you couldn’t go to the club without hearing this song, so it’s safe to say that this song is a strong contender for this list. “Whistle” enjoyed success on the charts, reaching No. 1 in 20 countries, including, of course, the United States.

4. “Wild Ones” featuring Sia (2011)

The title track for Flo Rida’s fourth studio album features Sia and is yet another song that was an inevitable dance song that club DJs were packing throughout 2011. “Wild Ones” also reached the top of the charts in various different countries, making it a best-seller for Flo Rida.

3. “Good Feeling” (2011)

Flo Rida combined Avicii’s “Levels” with a sample of the Etta James classic “Something’s Got a Hold on Me” to create this feel good jam. Flo Rida would later dedicate the song in the memory of Etta James after she passed in January of 2012.

2. “Low” featuring T-Pain (2007)

This list would definitely not be complete without “Low.” After all, “Low” is what put Flo rida on the map. I know that it’s the first song that I ever heard by him. This first single off of Mail on Sunday sat at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 for several weeks.

1. “Club Can’t Handle Me” featuring David Guetta (2010)

Of course the number one song on the list of Flo Rida’s best club bangers is “Club Can’t Handle Me”, why would it not be? Enlisting the help of super star DJ and producer David Guetta, Flo Rida co-created yet another club song and released it just in time for summer. The song is also featured on the Step Up 3D soundtrack.

So there you have it: ten of my favorite club songs by Flo Rida. I hope that you’ve enjoyed this mix and I also hope that you will join me in wishing Flo Rida, the feel-good rapper from the state of Florida, a very happy 35th birthday.
