Game of Thrones Spoilers Keep Coming In!


Another week closer to season 5 of Game of Thrones, another spoiler from filming. This week’s Game of Thrones spoiler comes from Croatia, better know to Westerosi enthusiasts as the slave city of Meereen. Sources spoke with the Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall about scenes being filmed revolving around Daenerys Targaryen, the former Khaleesi now ruling the slave city of Meereen.

In the scenes in question, which according to the sources will air in episode four of Game of Thrones season five, Daenerys orders the execution of slave before an audience of slaves and masters. The order is carried out Daario Naharis, who swore fealty to Danerys in season four and became her lover during season five. After the execution, chaos erupts in the city of Meereen.

Croatia is also the setting of the famed city of Braavos, which will play a major role in season five. Reportedly Lhasa, a prostitute last seen in the company Salladhor Saan during Davos’ visit to the Braavos bathhouse in season four.

If you are worried about missing any of these scenes next season because you aren’t an HBO subscriber, fret not. The long desired and recently rumored offer of HBO Go without a subscription is looking more and more like a sure thing. At a recent Goldman Sachs conference, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes touted the success of the companies new package which offers high speed internet and a limited number of channels including HBO and HBO Go.

Bewkes signaled that the success of the low price package has led Time Warner, which owns HBO, to consider offering the portable app for the website independent of subscription to HBO. The move isn’t just designed to please fans of the ever popular Game of Thrones. By offering HBO Go, Time Warner will secure their survival into the internet age and have access to the ever growing number of “cord cutters”. According to The Guardian, 49 percent of cable subscribers age 25 to 34 describe themselves as “very likely” to cancel their cable subscription.

While they wait for season five to begin, or official word about HBO Go, the most fervent of Game of Thones fans can bide their time by learning Dothraki. As previously reported in The Inquisitr News, David J. Peterson who created much of the Dothraki language for the Game of Thrones series, has fleshed out the language and created a class for those eager to learn. The completely online class will be offered at the Living Language website beginning in October 2014. Prices range from $19.99 to $30
