Justin Bieber Takes Selena Gomez To Las Vegas As Mayweather Defeats Maidana

It was Jelena’s first time at a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. And now that Justin’s single days are currently over, they were in Las Vegas together to see the unbeaten champion triumph once more.

Justin arrived Friday, a day before girlfriend Selena Gomez for buddy Mayweather Jr.’s rematch against Marcos Maidana for Mayweather’s WBC/WBA Welterweight titles and WBC Junior Middleweight title, Vegas News reports.

Gomez’s presence in Vegas should come as no surprise, since just two days ago the 20-year-old “Baby” singer confirmed he and the 22-year-old “Come & Get It” songstress are dating, when a lawyer asked him to define their relationship at a deposition for a lawsuit.

Fans shared pictures of Justin in the Nevada city late Friday, while rapper French Montana and a few of the Canadian star’s pals posted a video of them partying. Friends reportedly included videographer Alfredo Flores, rapper Blake Kelly, R&B singer Khalil, producer and artist Maejor Ali and deejay Tay James.

On Saturday, social media posts by various pals of Justin and bystanders revealed Selena was also in town.

Singer and vine star Liane V, and Bieber pal, posted an Instagram photo of herself, Selena and two other bikini-clad girls from the Hard Rock Hotel pool party.

The same group of gal-pals were seen in a snap Liane posted to Shots, while Justin also shared a poolside view to Shots and Twitter from the same hotel.

Vegas News reports Selena checked into the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday, before joining Justin at the property’s pool and–no doubt–his three-bedroom, penthouse suite.

TMZ claim sources said Justin planned to introduce Selena and Floyd after the fight as the two have never met.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Norm Clarke reported the young couple attended a 9:30 pm Le Reve show at the Wynn Hotel after the throwdown.

Other celebrities at the Grand reportedly included, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Warren Buffett, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith and wife Jada, Don Cheadle, Alex Pettyfer, Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg.

The Mayweather-Maidana fight (which is one of three at the Grand tonight) promised high drama, after Maidana disputed the judges’ majority decision to Floyd when they last fought in May.

That fight was widely regarded as the toughest 12-rounds of 37-year-old Floyd’s (then) 46-0 professional record, which now moves to 47-0.

Fast forward to tonight, “Money” picked up $32 million before percentages, while Maidana took $3 million.

Both men wanted, and needed, the win. At this particular point in Mayweather’s life, with his past domestic abuse history being widely reported and just two more fights away from retiring next year, a different headline is a breather.

And so it came to pass.

An ill-tempered fight ensued, with Mayweather accusing Maidana of biting him during the second half. Judges decided in favor of Floyd by an unanimous 115-112 116-111 116-111 after 12 rounds.

Justin didn’t walk Mayweather out as usual — the boxer arrived at the ring with just his bodyguards — but the singer did promote the face-off on social media, throwing in a few backroom shots for good measure.

We just wonder what Selena made of it all. Vegas isn’t for the fainthearted.
