Ryan Serhant To Quit ‘Million Dollar Listing’ To Pursue A Movie Career?
Ryan Serhant may have become quite the Bravo icon for his role on Million Dollar Listing, but it sounds like he has been dabbling in other career options. Even though he is busy filming the hit Bravo show and balancing his relationship with his girlfriend, Serhant has also been filming a movie, which recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Ryan Serhant traveled to Toronto this past week to attend the premiere screening of the movie, While We’re Young, strutting his stuff in a V.K. Nagrani suit. Even though Serhant previously worked on As The World Turns, this appears to be his first time in the movie industry. And it sounds like he was quite the hit.
According to a new Bravo report, Ryan Serhant has been labeled the breakout star of While We’re Young. But even though he is the one everyone is talking about, Serhant isn’t planning on leaving the competitive real-estate market in New York.
“People spend a long time trying to find a job that they like,” Ryan revealed after his movie debut, adding, “I think I have just lucked out that I get to do something that I really, really love.”
The success of the movie is something that Ryan Serhant has never really experienced before and he admits that he didn’t think that the movie would be such a hit.
“At the end of the day, if you take away the shows and all that stuff, I make money when my clients are happy and they buy or sell property,” he says, adding, “No one’s paying me to wear shoes. There are no endorsement deals.”
In the movie, Ryan Serhant plays a hedge-fund manager named Dave. He helps Ben Stiller’s character, Josh, fund his six-and-a-half hour documentary about America’s racist prison system.
“I left the acting business to get into real estate, only to find my way back to TV via Million Dollar Listing and now onto the big screen. And while my career path seems far from normal, to me it was the only road to take,” Serhant has revealed about his acting career.
And Ryan Serhant may show viewers a brand new version of himself on the fourth season of Million Dollar Listing. According to The Inquisitr, Ryan has been working on his friendship with Fredrik Eklund. In the past, these two have not been getting along, but they have been snapping pictures together and attending several appearances and events in support of one another.
