Lauren Conrad is Surprised She’s This Famous
Lauren Conrad admitted in a recent issue of L.A. Direct that she had no idea she’d get this far– because “I always say this isn’t what I signed up for. I thought I signed up for a one-episode documentary.” (Um, neither did we.) But despite the initial shock, Lauren has built up an empire, Direct pointed out, that includes her Lauren Conrad Collection, which apparently is selling briskly. If you’ve seen it, you probably know that this is the scariest part of the whole article:
Though her celebrity status may be a point of contention among many, there’s no doubt Conrad has effectively parlayed her reality show fame into a legitimate and promising career in fashion.
I almost have more hope for Heidi Montag’s Heidiwood line, which has outsold Victoria’s Beckham’s dVb stuff and has an attractive price point.
Can’t Lauren mix things up a little? “OMG! I’m famous!” We’re (most likely) not; let’s move on.
